Rascal belongs to a family who has become very good friends of mine. They bought Rascal from another breeder and later bought a registered Australian Shepherd from me. They kept Rascal and their other Aussie, Copper, with me while they built a new home. Rascal and Copper are good friends but are chaotic together. They just simply did not pair well. For this reason, and because Copper is more gentle natured with their 3 year old daughter and newly born child, they have regretfully made the decision to place Rascal into a home where he can play frisbee and run with older children daily.

I firmly believe Rascal would make someone a top competitive agility or frisbee dog.

Australian Cattle Dog, aka Heeler puppies ARE ALWAYS BORN WHITE, gradually turning various shades of silver and blue (or red). When you stroke their coats backwards, you can see shades of color underneath. If they have dark gray or black markings, they are Blue Heelers; if they have reddish markings they are Red Heelers. This is easily distinguished the day they are born; however, it takes several weeks before you can determine what shade of Blue each will be, and whether or not they will have speckling, like "Pretty Boy Floyd" or be light Silver or dark Blue, like Heifer,,...or even more black in color like "Skidboot" (GOOGLE Video available of "Skidboot"). Their Black or Red Masks & Ears & Markings become more and more visible and prominent as the puppy grows.

What is a Great American Cattle Dog?

A registered GREAT AMERICAN CATTLE DOG can be any mixture of an Australian Shepherd and Border Collie; however , my Great American Cattle Dog pups are bred to be either 3/4 Australian Shepherd & 1/4 Border Collie OR 3/4 Border Collie & 1/4 Australian Shepherd.

My breeding bitches are 1/2 Aussie & 1/2 Border and I have 2 breeding males, one a double registered NSDR/NKC full blooded Australian Shepherd, and the other a full blooded double registered AKC/NKC Border Collie. My GREAT AMERICAN CATTLE DOG hybrid pups are all NKC registered and illegible for any NKC shows and working stock dog events.
